Stan Jones
Stan Jones is a member of Hebron Baptist Church. He is husband to wife Shannon, and they have three children. In 2004 Stan gave his life to Christ and enjoys sharing the love of Christ with boys and girls.
Stan started playing golf at age 14. He played golf at Halifax County High School, South Boston, Virginia, where he received all state honors 11th and 12th grades, and won the Virginia State Juniors at age 17. Stan played four years of competitive Division I college golf for Old Dominion University, and was awarded All State three of four years, and All Sun Belt Conference two of four years.
Stan won the Kentucky State Amateur Championship in 1991 and then turned professional. He competed professionally in various mini tours for six years. Following his time on tour, Stan turned his attention toward becoming a golf course professional. In 1996 he became head golf professional. After two and a half years, Stan received a Class A membership with the Professional Golfers’ Association.
During his time as a golf course professional, Stan discovered his desire to help golfers through individual and group lessons, especially young golfers.
It is Stan's hope the Greater Gwinnett Christian Barons golf team will develop into a competitive team. It is his goal that Barons golfers learn appropriate etiquette and Godly behavior on and off the course.
